Councilman Robert “Doc” Orr has been serving as president of the Pennsylania Borough Association. The Association will provide a video of his borough that will be played at the April convention in Pittsburgh.

THE COMPANY IS IN NEED OF A NEW STATION DUE TO LACK OF ROOM AND ALSO FOR ACCOMMODATIONS OF BIGGER FIREFIGHTING EQUIPMENT.
THE BRICKS MAY BE PURCHASED AT THE FIRE STATION OR ONLINE.
THE BRICKS WILL BE PLACED ON THE NEW PROPERTY AND CAN BE PERSONALIZED.
The Lake City and Dobler Hose Fire Companies would like to remind residents to send in their memberships. The fire departments are volunteer members.

Mercyhurst West has partnered with the Girard-Lake City Chamber of Commerce to offer special tuition rates to employees of the organization’s member businesses.
Through the Partners in Development Grant Program, chamber members and their employees will be able to take courses at any Mercyhurst campus and will receive 25 percent off normal tuition rates.
“We are offering this ‘Partners in Development Grant Program’ to chamber member employees in appreciation for the support that the chamber and their members have provided to Mercyhurst College over the years,” according to Dr. Gary Brown, executive vice president of Mercyhurst West and North East.
The grant will be available to any adult employee who meets the college’s admissions requirements and will be honored at the West, North East and Erie campuses as well as the Corry Center. Employees may attend courses in any term – fall, winter, spring or summer.
