"The Fighting 54" is having a brick sale to help raise money for the new home at the corner of Main and Walnut Streets
The company is in need of a new station due to lack of room and also for accommodations of bigger fire fighting equipment.
The bricks may be purchased at the fire station or online.
The bricks will be placed on the new property and can be personalized.

The Dan Rice Committee has made arrangements for the Kelly Miller Circus to perform again this year, Saturday July 26, 2008 2:30 and 5PM at the Girard School Grounds. The circus will roll into town on Saturday, July 26, 2008. Everyone is invited to come and watch the animals being unloaded and fed, and the elephants raising the big top. Activities will begin at 7:30AM, and the tent will be raised between 8:30 and 9AM. Guides will be furnished for anyone attending.

Ghost Walks - Friday, June 13, 2008The Hazel Kibler Museum will host candlelight ghost walks every Saturday evening at 8:30PM through Labor Day
Join them for an evening of spooky local legends and thost stories as they stroll through historic Girard at dusk
Cost is $5.00 for adults, $3.00 for children and $10.00 for families.

The Girard Borough Community Pool is open and will close for the season on Sunday August 31. Season passes are avilable at the Girard Borough Office. Residents: Singe $80, family $125. Non-residents: Single $95, family $140. The pool is open from 1-5pm and 6-8:30PM. The pool is available for private parties by calling 774-4588.
